Van Hollen Speaks at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Protest

Maryland’s indefatigable senior Senator Chris Van Hollen  has been making the rounds. Van Hollen rallied alongside fellow congressional members and concerned citizens at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Monday. He was in Baltimore for another rally Monday morning to protest possible job cuts at the Social Security Administration.

Currently under threat from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), CFPB was founded in 2011 to protect consumers from unfair or abusive corporate practices.

Van Hollen’s message was clear and direct.

On Wednesday evening Van Hollen and his fellow Senator Angela Alsobrooks will hold a telephone town hall to address proposed shuttering of federal agencies and the dismissal of federal employees.
